Our Team

Get to know the people behind Spectrum Weather Insurance. With a shared passion for people, communities, and outdoor events, our team is dedicated to helping you navigate unpredictable weather with confidence.

Robert Holmes

President

Robert is co-owner of Spectrum Weather and Specialty Insurance, Inc., a family-owned business he operates alongside his wife, Theresa.

Robert began his professional career as a research meteorologist, studying the weather and climate of Antarctica.  After nine trips to Antarctica for field research, earning awards from the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Navy, honored with the naming of the geographical feature Holmes Ridge, and publishing several research articles, Robert left academia for a Fortune 100 company to take on a new challenge: weather risk management.

After over a decade of providing weather risk solutions to some of this country’s largest corporations to providing weather insurance to small town festivals, fairs, concerts, and other outdoor events, Robert decided that he could provide a better customer experience through his own company, and Spectrum was born.

Theresa Holmes

Director of Finance & Operations

With years of experience in finance and business operations, Theresa brings valuable knowledge and organizational expertise to Spectrum Weather Insurance.

She helps oversee the company’s finances and day-to-day operations, supporting the dependable, personal service that clients expect from a family-owned business. Her attention to detail and dedication play an important role in keeping the team organized and operations running smoothly.

Theresa enjoys attending events, connecting with clients, and seeing the hard work and planning behind their success. She takes pride in supporting Spectrum’s clients and helping protect what matters most to them.

Catherine Holmes

Producer

With a background in education and a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Northwest Missouri State University, Catherine brings a fresh perspective to weather insurance.

Her experience has shaped her ability to simplify complex information, communicate clearly, and help clients confidently navigate their coverage options.

Catherine enjoys building relationships with clients, learning about their businesses and events, and helping them find coverage solutions that fit their unique needs. She values the opportunity to work with people across a variety of industries and support the hard work behind their success.

Brian Holmes

Producer

Brian brings a strong commitment to customer service and a hands-on approach to his role at Spectrum Weather Insurance.

He understands the importance of preparation, attention to detail, and finding solutions that meet each client’s needs. He enjoys working with clients to explore weather insurance options that help protect their businesses, events, and investments.

Outside of work, Brian has a passion for cars and racing. He enjoys connecting with people, learning about different industries, and understanding the unique challenges businesses and event organizers face.

Chief Morale Officer

Meet Holly, Spectrum’s four-legged team member and resident Golden Retriever!

With a passion for belly rubs, treats, and making new friends, Holly takes her role as Chief Morale Officer very seriously. Whether she’s supervising the office, greeting the team, or sneaking in an afternoon nap, she makes every workday a little brighter.

While she may not know much about weather insurance, she’s an expert at bringing sunshine to the Spectrum office, no matter the forecast!
