Spectrum Weather and Specialty Insurance, Inc., a leading domestic broker of rain insurance, weather insurance, event liability insurance, event cancellation insurance, and other event-related insurance products, has joined the Texas Association of Fairs and Events.
The state of Texas has some of the most variable and extreme weather in the country. With severe weather prevalent throughout much of the state, the tropical storm exposure along the Gulf shore area, prolonged periods of drought conditions common in the west, and a northern portion that is prone to early season snowfall and cold temperatures, in Texas, Mother Nature is not to be taken lightly in the Lone Star State. These extreme weather variations present additional challenges to those individuals tasked with the coordination of a successful event.
“We are very excited at the prospect of an enhanced working relationship with the member organizations of the Texas Association of Fairs and Events (TAF&E). It is our goal to help the members come to a better understanding of the applications of rain insurance, as well as the current landscape of the rain insurance and overall weather insurance marketplace”, said Robert Holmes, Spectrum’s founder and President. The membership of TAF&E is made up of events and organizations from across the state and from neighboring states as well. It includes fairs and festivals of all sizes, including community, county, district, regional and state-wide events.
The resources available to the TAFE members through the Spectrum will give those members access to a simplified and comprehensive system that provides for their rain insurance, severe weather insurance, and event cancellation needs, at rates that are among the most competitive in the industry. Because Spectrum works with several weather insurance companies, it can typically provide rates to our clients that favorable to those obtained in the past through other outlets. “Fairs that have obtained rain insurance in the past should give Spectrum a call. They will be pleasantly surprised at both the level of customer service and rates they receive”, state Holmes. “And those that have not purchased rain insurance in the past should contact Spectrum to discuss their unique needs. After all, Mother Nature always bats last.”
Spectrum was established with the goal of providing rain insurance, event cancellation insurance, and other specialty insurance solutions that are simple to understand and purchase, and with the highest degree of customer service in the industry. Spectrum serves events both large and small, including fairs, festivals, concerts, and other outdoor events impacted by weather. In addition to rain insurance, Spectrum provides liability insurance for events, as well as insurance for weather-based promotions. Spectrum also provides snow insurance to help protect against extremes in winter snowfall for snow removal contractors.
